At Witton Park, our guiding principles are simple yet powerful:
• Children come first and are at the heart of all we do
• Positive relationships underpin all of our work
• High expectations and no barriers – everybody can achieve.
If our principles resonate with you, and you are seeking a new challenge, we’d be delighted to receive your application for the vacancy that has arisen in our successful Creative Technologies department. We are looking for an outstanding classroom teacher and leader, to take-up the post of Leader of Learning for Creative Technologies with a specialism for Design Technology and work alongside our Leader of Learning for Creative Technologies with a specialist in Textiles.
The Creative Technologies faculty is part of the wider Sports and Creative Technology. The KS3 Creative Technologies curriculum offers a rotation of Design Technology, Art and Design, Art Textiles, Food and Dance. Whilst at KS4 we offer OCR Engineering, AQA Art and Design: Fine Art, AQA Art and Design: Fine Art, OCR iMedia and Food Preparation & Nutrition.
This role requires an energetic and dedicated leader, who can make a significant contribution to our school community by providing a strategic vision for KS3 Creative Technologies and KS4 Engineering. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge of the Design Technology national curriculum at KS3 and the ability to lead Engineering at Key Stage 4, by inspiring and developing colleagues and students. As a Leader of Learning the successful candidate will need to ensure that provision for Creative Technologies is broad and balanced meeting the needs of all pupils. Being well-informed on current educational developments and initiatives is imperative. The support you will receive at Witton Park in developing your practice will be invaluable to your future career. As Leader of Learning you will also be Quality Nominee for our BTEC courses across the faculty.
You would be joining a team of colleagues who are passionate about ensuring that all pupils enjoy the subject and are focused on securing the best outcomes for our students. We work collaboratively to share good practice, both within the department and across the school as a whole. Being a BSF and Google accredited school, we are very well-resourced with Promethean whiteboards and Chromebooks, with lessons being taught in specialist classrooms.

Welcome to Witton Park Academy
Innovating… Engaging… Caring… Learning… Succeeding Together.
With pride and passion we unite our school and our local community, and lead the drive to be ‘always learning’.
We are extremely proud of our school; the achievements of our pupils, the expertise and dedication of our staff, our outstanding facilities and our reputation as a centre of excellence.
Our ultra-modern school buildings allow our pupils to flourish in facilities for learning that truly do enable us to trail blaze innovative learning – from the bright and attractive classrooms, to the fully equipped outside play areas, the facilities allow our pupils to fully explore their talents and to shine in those areas that they most enjoy.
A building, however, is only as good as the people working within; we believe we have some of the best students and teachers in the world. Staff and pupils benefit from the investment we place on their development: as well as playing a key part in supporting other schools through the Achievement through Collaboration Trust, we have a variety of external partners from Google, The Schools, Students and Teacher Network and with University College London. Partnerships like these create opportunities for all members of our team.
We understand how important choosing the right school is and so, on behalf of our pupils and staff, we warmly invite you to visit our school and experience for yourself the quality of education we offer.
